Hempcrete Block

Hemp as a construction material has been used for centuries across the world, but only recently the global construction industry has undergone a remarkable transformation, as sustainability and eco-consciousness have taken center stage. Architects, engineers, and builders are fervently seeking alternative building materials that not only reduce the environmental impact of construction but also provide many health benefits and energy efficiency.

Just one of the ways to install the block

Hemp in this home stores as much carbon as
305 trees in 1 year.
We achieved that by substituting products with high carbon emissions for carbon-negative materials.

The Traveler Carbon Count_Breakdown copy.jpg

Placing the block on the inside lowers operational carbon emissions, which means less energy spent to heat and cool the building and lower utility bills.

On the INTERIOR the block's THERMAL MASS absorbs the heat at day and releases it at night, thus lowering heating/cooling energy load.

We can lower the embodied carbon by replacing a product with high carbon emissions, like rigid foam, with a carbon-neutral product, like a COEXIST Block.

Placed on the EXTERIOR, this block replaces polyiso insulation.
IT PREVENTS A THERMAL BRIDGE, LOWERS THE ENERGY BILL, AND LOWERS THE CARBON FOOTPRINT OF THE STRUCTURE.
